During your eight months with us, we will provide a small stipend to help you invest full-time in the Residency while living in Austin, Texas.
In addition to this stipend, we will work to help provide housing for our residents in and through our community or apartment options near the school.
Finally, we will provide breakfast and lunch every day you are on campus at no cost to you.
This program will not cover travel and moving expenses.

Yes, as we are serving the classical Christian movement and classical Christian schools, we require all residents to sign the same statement of faith that the substitute teachers at Regents sign, which can be found here.
Further details about our faith commitments are available through our application page as well.
-
Yes, the Residency is built over an 8-month period. Starting late or ending early would undermine your growth and formation.
So, if you have time constraints, we kindly ask that you apply when you can spend the entire school year with us at Regent as a full-time resident.
-
No, this is not a requirement at all and helping you become “well-versed” in classical Christian education is one of the main purposes of the program. You do need to be interested in exploring this model of education as you will be giving 8 months of your life to it.
-
No, a college degree is not required. In fact, we hope to have residents who are currently in college join us to see if classical, Christian education is a good fit for them.
Not only that, you can apply without having ever attended college either.
Lastly, you can be graduate of college (with multiple degrees) and still apply.

We would love to help you with this and we do think this is a potential option. However, the decision must ultimately be made by the school you are attending. If you would like to pursue college credit for the Residency, please have your college advisor email us at residency@regentsaustin.org.
-
Regents can help you with that, too. We have numerous apartment and guest house options near Regents that would be perfect for our residents.
We would also encourage you to room with other residents to save costs and, more importantly, build community.
Upon acceptance into the program, we will help you find a place to stay and roommates within the program.
-
Absolutely! We would encourage you to do this. We would also love to meet you and show you around our school.
Feel free to email us at residency@regentsaustin.org to set up a time to visit.
-
We would love to make that promise but unfortunately, we can’t always make that happen.
However, we can promise that we will do everything we possibly can to help you find that perfect job after the Residency.
To do this, we will be building an employment portal to connect our Residents with other classical, Christian schools.
We will also help you practically navigate the job process by offering career development opportunities throughout your time with us.
-
We are so glad you asked! Send us an email at residency@regentsaustin.org to let us you’re your needs and help you set up times to connect with our residents.
We also hope to have a “classical, Christian faculty fair” (we will work on the name soon!) where interested schools can come and meet our residents.
-
We would love to help train your new teachers! We currently only have the 8-month residency option available here in Austin which might be difficult for new fully-employed teachers to attend.
However, we would love to train them, if you are willing to send them.
In the future, we do hope to open up shorter, intensive options for this specific type of training for new and incoming faculty members looking for Resident-like training.

Yes, we can help you with that too. Send us an email with your needs and/or academic discipline focus and we will work to get you connected with the right teacher(s) at the right time.
